Are we not men? We are DEVO…
December 10th, 2012 Posted in UncategorizedYesterday I went on a whopping 8 mile trek through San Francisco with photo friend Travis Jensen, covering a lot of different areas. I saw this scene unfolding from a distance and got into position across the street to get a sequence of shots as the group passed by. This pic turned out the best, and was even able to snag the MUNI driver taking a break in the bus shelter.
Also wanted to report that I’m still digging shooting with my RX100 point-n-shoot. Coming from shooting square with my phone, I’m snagging many more candid street pix. In my opinion, they speak louder due to having more environmental context.
The fact that my cam easily fits in my jeans pocket also means I’m spending more time contemplating and soaking in what’s around me, rather than being constantly on-guard for the next pic. I like that. For me, the “soaking in” aspect is what it’s all about.
I have a few more pix from yesterday’s trek, including a few from Aquatic Park that I’m digging a lot. They’ll go up in a few days…
