Through storefront glass
January 14th, 2013 Posted in UncategorizedI have always enjoyed meeting people on the street for engaged street portraits. Usually that involves approaching a potential subject, introducing myself, having a bit of conversation, and then ultimately making a portrait.
The one up above, which appears engaged, was taken candidly with no conversation at all. It was made through a bakery window on Market Street in San Francisco. I like the way it came out with the man’s gaze and the background reflections of two other people walking down the sidewalk behind me and myself in the middle.
