One year ago today…

That’s Frydoon. He’s a Chronicle vendor and sells papers at Powell and Market. I snapped this street portrait a year ago today – it’s one of my favorites. His face says it all capturing his pride of the history-making inauguration. We traded email info, and after an exchange, I sent him a couple of prints. What really made my day was finding out he was sending one to his mother in Iran.

Really admire your diligence in following up with people. Great documentation.

Really fantastic Brad. Too bad i can’t say the same about Obama’s first year. Major disappointment in what he and the Dems haven’t done.

All smiles…it just has the power to pull one –a wide one, may I add– from the viewer. Really love this.
Too bad expectations ran so high. Few in America really understand the ramifications of what happened to the economy starting in the Summer of 2007 culminating with the fall of Lehman Brothers and the financial tsunami that ensued. Obama is a good politician and many ways he’s proven just that, so far; a very eloquent one at that too.

Thanks!
Sure wish things were going better. Washington’s such a mess now…
