On Powell
February 1st, 2010 Posted in UncategorizedEvery once in awhile I go out and shoot with my 10-22mm super-wide lens and digital Rebel. It’s a great combination for street shooting being so light in weight and small. I’m holding onto that cam and lens for a long time…

that lens should be able to fit an entire group of police officers — no problem!

Photos come out great and no distortion to be associated with the wide. Very interesting capture here. The lady looks so worried. Share your BW recipe with us one day.

Thanks…
Luis, that’s kind of the trade using the 15mm fisheye vs the 10-22mm. I can go out and shoot all day with the 10-22 without having to worry about distortion as it’s rectilinear. In fact, when I was using a 20D a few years ago, it was the only lens I used.
But with the fisheye, well, you either have to think about how to make the distortion work for you, or crop the heck out of center where it’s not an issue. Am thinking it requires too much thinking!
