    What is the Mission? Is it like Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan? Gotta say this is a touching image strong in humanity, in what makes people precious.

    Luis, the Mission is a neighborhood in San Francisco that’s predominately Chicano/Latino/Central American. One of the few neighborhoods in SF with remaining character; though parts have become gentrified/hipsterized over the years. There’s a Spanish mission (Mission San Francisco de Asís, better known as Mission Dolores) in the neighborhood built in the late 1700s, which gave the neighborhood it’s name.

    That’s the quick description; it’s much more nuanced than that…
